Inland Victoria

The reign of Queen Victoria, between 1837 and 1901 were years of industrial development was a time of great transformation social, economic and value system changes in society. Many of the inventions made a principle of energy, agriculture, textiles, iron industry or transport revolutions. New technologies such as artificial light, telephone, iron and stained glass gave rise to many plants, factories, warehouses or small shops. The capitalization of the company, the reclassification and the birth of the new class, known as middle class or bourgeoisie (upper class), increased demand for goods and mechanisations from many sectors of the industry made the production on a massive scale and relatively inexpensive. Dynamism of the transition was stimulated by the occurrence of some political and cultural events, such as the Universal Exhibition in 1851, which was a manifestation of the Industrial Revolution in 19th century England.

The above events and popularize new form of life, richer and more fashionable by common cultural newspapers and magazines had great impact on the area of home decor. Followed by mass production of interior fabrics, many of them lacked taste, because most factories were owned by traders not by the artist. Reminiscent of earlier styles in art as neoclassicism or Greek - Renaissance, gave a start of the next styles revivals such as Gothic, Renaissance, Rococo and others. So now, the decoration of art not only became very common, but was also influenced by the Most of the previous styles aggravated by Eastern, Japanese and Chinese elements. It was a feather in the cap of the Victorian era, the elegance of multiple, called eclectic it was a Victorian style.

Typical Victorian house was very orderly and strictly in divisions of public or private space, but without doubt the most important there was a formal room in which citizens had lead rich social life indolent.
