Balai Seni Lukis Negara also known as Gallery Malaysian National Art is based on temerloh Jalan, Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur, and just a step away from the National Theatre and National Library.

Gallery National Art was launched on August 28, 1958 by the Prime Minister of independent Malaysia - Tunku Abdul Rahman, with only 4 pieces of art to display on their premises improvised in Malaysiaâ € ™ s first parliament.

Currently, the National Art Gallery claims to house over 2500 masterpieces by artists from both local and international in its permanent home, which was officially opened by Prime Minister of Malaysia - Datuk Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohammed.

The National Art Gallery boasts a unique style, a mixture of native motifs harmoniously with contemporary architecture, and claiming an area of 13,000 square feet The gallery serves as a repository for aesthetic creations and stage events such as art competitions, seminars and workshops for professionals and students alike. In addition, the gallery also has set its sights on the conservation, development, exploration and experience various aspects of art Malaysia.
