The restaurant's front door is a collage of art exhibits, food bonanzas and local acoustic musicians.

Regattabar. If you are in the mood for a jazz-inspired evening, then make sure you drop by the Regattabar. Located in the lavish Charles Hotel, Regattabar is an intimate and pristine venue that features various music styles from contemporary world music to smooth jazz. Would my martial art be any help to me in a real fight?

I take a form of karate called t.a.m.a( total aproach to martial arts) in boston mass. It is not very traditional and infact it is more like a hybrid or mixed martial arts. There is not just a lot of kicks and punches, but a bunch of grappling and takedowns. The school allows for a lot of sparring to take place with gloves and protection. I also do amature wrestling and i have done a few techniques in my sparring( i aslo do a lot of sparring without protection but with gloves, and i do it with a bunch of friends). But what i want to know is that when i have to fight someone who wants to d me harm will this help me. Will i have an edge because of my martial arts traing, or will adrenaline just make me forget all i have learned and fight more like a drunk than a martial artist. I am in good shape and can take a solid hit. And when i say martial arts i don';t mean crazy movie stuff that obviously wouldn't work in a fight, i mean realistic things that i have trained in

When you have trained to the point that your martial art becomes second nature. if will definitely help. It becomes like muscle memory. You don't have to think about what to do you just react with what comes natural.

Because Judo was my first martial art when I train now in Shorin Ryu or Jujitsu and we are working on self defense it is natural for me to add a throw. It is also natural for me to block or parry into a choke or arm bar.
