Use Jungian archetype to sell art!

The secret to successfully sell the art comes from a deep knowledge of Jungian archetypes. There is nothing particularly mystical or "magical" about it. It applies to all artistic activity, either in writing, painting, sculpting or whatever.

There is the famous photograph Gallery visitors up into the statue of Michelangelo's "David". The text says: "I do not know what it is, but I know what I like!" Michelangelo's spirit is certainly immortal - speaks to us through more than 500 years. Miguel Angel catches us at a subconscious level, and shakes us to our bases!

The same is true of "Aphrodite of Rhodes." You can find this beautiful statue by putting his name into a search engine. The artist speaks in a 2,000-year period. The emotions of the subconscious mind of this anonymous artist come to us through the marble. The statue was hidden in the bottom main port of the island of Rhodes to the 20 th century, when a fisherman found himself caught in their nets. And yet, the message is intact and clear to everyone in any language. Indeed, a blind person can receive the message, if allowed to touch the statue.

What causes such intense reactions? It is simply that these great artists activate the archetypes of male and female, in its most basic level.

Art does not have to be a recognizable figure either! Jackson Pollock "drip" paintings shown. Pollock intentionally avoid recognizable images. And yet, I attended an exhibition of the greatest artists modern of all time at the Museum of Art, Boston, and I found that Pollock's work moved me beyond any other. It made me mourn! Talk to my subconscious mind in a way that I can not describe beyond these few words.

Another piece in the same exhibition also touched me, "Under the table" Robert Therrien. It was a simple wooden table and chairs, but run into something like ten times their normal size. It consumes an entire room. When he entered, went straight under the table, with chairs around them. I felt like I was walking under the table in my parents room. It made me feel like I did when I was 2 or 3 years old. That piece "Constellations" the archetype of childhood.

A great place to start exploring the concept of the use of Jungian archetypes in art reading Women Who Run with the Wolves, Clarissa Pinkola Estes. Estes is an analyst with the long life of Jung, which explains in explicit detail how the psychology of the subconscious mind manifested in a wide variety of archetypes, either in pictures, stories or in life. Reacted with tears and laughter and other ways that could not understand at the conscious level.
