Spain: From the famous Spa Spanish Art

The Museo del Prado is one of the most popular tourist spots in Madrid. Although this museum houses more than 7,000 paintings, the emphasis on the famous Spanish artists Velazquez, Goya and El Greco is very evident. There are, of course, many works of art of many other artists.

The museum is surrounded by beautiful gardens. Visitors can spend hours enjoying the lovely gardens, the architecture of this nineteenth century building completed in 1819, and the beautiful artwork inside. Much of the first collection in the museum are paintings obtained by Spanish nobility.

Once in the construction of the new wing is completed, visitors can see many pieces of art that have been stored. Such pieces include Pereda and Zurbarán, among so many others who will join the beautiful display available to art lovers.

Even now, the art available makes a visit to the Prado Museum is worth it. Also of family Spanish artists mentioned above, art lovers can find works of Germans, Italians, French, Flemish and Dutch. Many were acquired by conquest during the time when Spain was a leading ruler of Europe. Regardless of how they have evolved, however, this art portrays the timeless beauty artists can achieve in any era.

On arrival to the Prado Museum, you walk through the Goya entrance on the ground floor. Allow time to enjoy the works of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary and Fra Angelico, as well as some Italian masterpieces nearby.

As continue, you will see the works of Bosch, including Seven Deadly Sins, Garden of Delights and many more. Possibly the first surrealist, Bosch's art is well ahead of his time. His 16th century paintings are easily considered a result of a "vivid imagination."

Make your way to the second plant, are 17th century works by Rubens and Van Dyck, as the Garden of Love and Three Graces. Nearby, there are three Immaculate Conceptions noted Murillo the highlights of this collection.

Undoubtedly, the works of Spanish artists El Greco and Goya are the main attractions of the museum. Although was born in Crete, El Greco lived a good deal of time in Toledo, Spain, where he produced his famous John the Baptist, The Resurrection and The Adoration of the Shepherds.

Numerous works of Goya are also on display portraying the range of styles used throughout the year. His Saturn Devouring One of his sons, possibly representing style of strike during his last years. The Clothed Maja and Naked Maja are also highlights of the collection of Goya in the museum, which attracts many visitors each year.
