Remember a few years ago, when people laugh with a great reality, on the Nigerians celebrities? I remember them saying that Celine dione € ™ s real name was Selena Odion and Bendel stateaid € | yeaa € | I know it sounds silly, you donâ t ™ € I remember well? Well, the truth is that during that time, there was a silent cry for something or someone that Nigerians could be proud. It was a time when Nigeria and Nigerians yearned for some recognition, some recognition, any act performed by the outside world beyond from our shores for something that came from U.S.. It was a time before the likes of Tuface and Dâ € ™ banj walk with MTV Base Act of the year. It was a time before international collabo were made by our people, before a girl lyrics humble Yoruba became international film soundtracks and comedy.

Professionally known as Lemar Obika Lemar Born in Tottenham, London, England, and is a British soul, R & B singer, songwriter and vocal producer who has had a successful run of success in the United Kingdom, Europe and Australia.
Lemar used to sing at home with his brothers and sister, pretending to be The Jacksons. He was seventeen when he had his first concert in the Junior Jam at the Temple on the Tottenham support Usher. He was given an opportunity to study pharmacy at Cardiff University to pursue a music career. Lemar had some success supporting various artists such as Destiny's Child, Total, Uncle Sam and Usher Raymond in their travel club in the UK and after some years, managed to get a recording contract with BMG. After this, he released his first single "Got Me Saying Ooh. Unfortunately, their recording contract with BMG failed in less than a year due to restructuring of the record company. He had to finally have a job as account manager for NatWest in Enfield, north London.
Lemar was particularly drawn to public attention the BBC Fame Academy in 2002, a combination of a talent search and reality show. He made the final of the series winning plaudits for her rendition of "Let's Stay Together" by Al Green and singing a duet with Lionel Richie on "Easy". While eventually finishing third in the series, which was won by David Sneddon, drew the attention of his fellow British soul singer Beverley Knight, who invited to sing a duet with her during her concert at the Hammersmith Apollo. Sony Music was so impressed with his potential he signed for five years against record a value of £ 1 million (one million pounds). It was also contestant Fame Academy chosen to represent the UK in Eurobest, reaching 5th (winner Chenoa final in Spain.

His first album devoted was released in late 2003 with additional singles" 50/50 " and "Another Day" also achieving chart success in the UK. Lemar won a Brit Award for Best Urban Act "in 2004. Following the success the album, he began his first tour of the UK.
In the November 12, 2004 Lemar became a guest on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge and performed a cover of the U2 song "Vertigo." He has also performed for Prince, Prince Charles Trust. It is also one of many artists including on Band Aid 20's single "Do They Know It's Christmas?"  € œ

September 4, 2006 saw Lemar return with their eighth single, entitled "It's Not That Easy", which became the top of the UK Ten sixth. A week later his new album, The Truth About Love was released, which saw appearances by Styles P of The LOX, Mica Paris and Joss Stone. The album became Lemar's highest charting album to date, reaching number three on the UK charts, reaching time to grow (number eight), and dedicated
4th studio album by Lemar "Reason", was released on November 24th 2008, entering the UK charts at no. 41. The first single, "If She Knew", was released on 10 November 2008 and has peaked on the UK singles chart at no. 14.
Sway Lemar also be placed on first single "Saturday Night Hustle" from the album â € œThe Signature LP ".
On January 19, 2008, reported that MSN UK became Lemar a father for the first time with his longtime partner Charmaine Powell, who gave birth to a daughter named Nyiema Obika in private Portland Hospital in London weighing 7 pounds
Since May 2009 he had accumulated wealth of a 4 million pounds (four million pounds) at the age of 31 ... HMMA € | sound so good I'ma m ™ € will say that again € | four million pounds! Knowledge is power, so more people are aware of things, things can change faster, â € he decides. â € œIt was very hard losing my mother, but I know that Shea € ™ s viewing.
