Romantic Road Trip to Charleston and Savannah

Charleston, South Carolina and Savannah, Georgia providing the road trip planner is a perfect for a romantic holiday for two. These two cities dish up generous portions of southern hospitality, seasoned with a heady combination of romance and charm. And with only two hours between the cities, there is a long road trip unless you're driving from his home in another state.

Two hours apart but every city has a distinctive flavor. Charleston simmered with history. There is a rich blend of "Old South" charm, generosity sprinkled with houses historical monuments and historic districts, all of which make Charleston one of the most popular destinations in South America. You will find cobbled streets, with shops lining each side.

A Going Places user (an application on the Facebook environment) said the following about her stay there: "Charleston has a beautiful old town full of luxury villas, restaurants, shops and museums ... This is the city where the Civil War began and it is full of history and stories fascinating. If you go here, you have to go to market and take a ghost tour. Nearby plantations are a real sight to see as well and the beaches are spectacular. You will need at least a week to truly appreciate all you have to do here and the port city of Java coffee shops are really lovely. Try to stay at a B & B if you can, running on the same price as a normal hotel, but you get more personalized attention and a nice touch of true Southern hospitality. "

Add one or more of these districts Charleston on your road trip planner to fully explore the city.

* CENTRAL DISTRICTS - In addition to churches historic buildings and places of interest, you'll find many opportunities for shopping. Downtown is a starting point to know Charleston as it is a dynamic mix of old and new, offering diverse attractions suitable for almost anyone.

* Historic District - The Historic District is the most old town with many preserved buildings and homes. Try some walking tours, historic homes and Walk, which will allow you to learn more about this incredible architecture dating from the mid 18th century. And do not forget to check the old houses as the Heyward-Washington House and the Nathaniel Russell House.

* MOUNT PLEASANT DISTRICT - The District of Mount Pleasant is known for its excellent restaurants. And this district has more than its share of the most diverse restaurants. It is also home to one of the most large naval and maritime museums in the world, Patriot's Point. Tour boats are available in Mount Pleasant to see Fort Sumter, where it began the Civil War.

* North Charleston - North Charleston is the main business of transport and location for the southern half of the state. Both the International Airport and the station Amtrak is located here. Adding to the excitement of North Charleston is 14,000-seat North Charleston Coliseum, home of South Carolina, home of hockey South Carolina stripes.

Now it's time to go to the second city in his road trip planner, Savannah!

Many people use the word "gentle" to describe Savannah. The word means refined, elegant and stylish, the adjectives that fit the city, from the Savannah River to spas to 2 1 / 2 square mile Historic District. And although I'm sure you could find a horse-drawn carriage that draws you in the past, Savannah is considered one of the 10 cities for walking.

Fellow traveler, Gary Aldrich, Savannah gave 5 stars, praising, "A wonderful old Southern getaway! Went with my best friend during a period of stress intense professional and at the end of the few days there, I was relaxed enough to return to work. The restaurants are wonderful, and charming old homes, well kept square park unlike anything else in the country. Being in a river and near the sea remains very mild, even in winter. Coastal Georgia is in fact a wonderful winter lull. I recommend it, especially when others are in tip like crazy to get to Florida! "Their top picks are Comfort Suites Historic District, Old Pink House Restaurant, and squares of Savannah in the historic district.

In addition to the squares of Savannah (where visiting 21 places is not enough), Savannah also has other distinct points of interest, so make sure one of these activities added to the agenda of road trips.

* RIVERFRONT - Located along the Savannah River, this area was once the heart of the cotton trade at the height of Savannah. Now is the most popular destination for visitors, with restaurants Huey popular, Shrimp Factory and House elegant figure. River Street paving point, a popular starting point for parades and festivals.

* City Market - City Market also sits on the river, just north of Rio de Jefferson and West Julian Street. Like River Street, the brick warehouses now host flocks of tourists. Shops, restaurants and clubs attract a day with live music and artists adding to the festive atmosphere.

* MIDTOWN - This area includes the Victorian district. You'll notice the increasingly modern homes and to the south. You'll find many companies here, but as you begins to lose the old charm of Savannah, he meets Ray, a picturesque fishing village on the river from Wilmington.

* Savannah ISLANDS - The low country surrounding The city is home to many small islands, including the suburbs of Wilmington and Whitemarsh, and the picturesque Isle of Hope. Nearby, Skidaway Island is the site of golf communities, marinas, and miles of biking and nature trails. Playground by the Sea of Savannah is Tybee Island. Just 15 miles east of the center of the past Fort Pulaski National Monument, Tybee Island features crab shacks, expensive villas, hotels festivals and kitschy gift shops and the lighthouse old in the South Atlantic coast.

It is not long before the atmosphere pervades the senses and the cadence of south takes you along, leaving no doubt that each pair must add to these cities to your Road Trip Planner to experience what it means to be in love, southern style.

Tattoo artists in Florida or Georgia?

I can not wait to get my first tattoo (well, well, probably go ahead and get three of them). I live in southern GA today, and since we are talking about permanent ink here, I get up to go to Atlanta, Savannah, Jacksonville ... you know, almost any place in the vicinity to find a good artist. I'm looking forward to more such symbols work done in my inner thighs, upper and middle back (probably a yin-yang Tribal of all kinds), and my hand (which wing Bam Margera, and legs as well). So Does anyone have any tattoos or know of any good tattoo artists in this area than would good and getting those types of designs? Much appreciated

I can not recommend individual tattoo artists, but may point to a directory of studies in good standing in Florida.
