Head to Prospect Street and take a historical look at the Ellen Browning Scripps house which has now become the Museum of Contemporary Art. You can also visit the Athenaeum Music and Arts Library. This library is almost 100 years old and has a vast collection of music and volumes art.

Some points of interest include the Club of Women La Jolla, La Jolla Recreation Center, Mary Star of the Sea, the Spanish colonial-style structure - La Valencia Hotel, Mount Soledad Memorial.

History and architecture buffs can visit the historic four-story building Grande Colonial Hotel was built in 1900. Five million dollars was spent on renovation work in 2000 to preserve this building. You can also study the famed architect Irving Gill Cubist-style architectural works in the Bishop's School and Bed & Breakfast Inn at La Jolla.

Beaches

Sun-sand beaches and miles of long-kissed La Jolla, especially the La Jolla Cove are among the main attractions in San Diego. Apart from this beautiful stunning beach, La Jolla is also famous for other beautiful beaches such as:
