What else you want to visit Florence, Italy?
Once the great center of Renaissance Florence, Florence Italy is one of the most artistic of the world and architecture beautiful cities with its many museums and galleries of Florence full of masterpieces, and fabulous shopping and the huge kitchen and restaurants.
Florence back to the Etruscan era, when Fiesole, an important center in Etruria, dominated the valley. The Romans conquered the city in 59 a. C., who set up camp by the river Arno in a place that became known as Florentia, "destined to flourish." During the course of the next thousand years, fought in a small town successive Byzantine, Gothic, Lombard and Frankish rule. The number of residents began to grow in the tenth century, the city is governed by a municipality independently from 1115. But the town soon became a battleground in the violent conflict between the pro-imperial faction Ghibelline and in favor of papal Guelphs. However, a sound commercial basis, based on the wool and the support of a strong currency (the forint) saw the city slowly growing.
In the 13th century, an elite Commercial ruled Florence Italy. powerful families such as Medici Albizi and came to dominate the city. With this oligarchy interrupted by the flood of Republican rule - Influenced by the likes of Dominican radicals before Savonarola and Machiavelli noble - Florence was becoming stronger and richer.
It is during this period when Florence assumes its role in European and world history especially the history of Florence. Experts in both banking and commerce (the Medici financed many of the adventures that opened trade routes throughout the world), the city grew spectacularly rich. The families flaunt their wealth, and money was poured into the patronage of the fine art of Florence. The city became a home to sculptors, artists, architects and musicians. While scholars began to rediscover the rich literature and culture archaic Greece and Rome, Europe began to emerge from the Middle Ages, and meanwhile people like Michelangelo, Donatello and Brunelleschi, as well as many others whose works adorn Florence Italy today, were pushing the boundaries of creativity and artistic creation at increasing heights. Busy by the Germans between 1943 and 1944, the city suffered the misfortune over the floods in 1966 when the Arno burst its banks.
A walk through its narrow streets and meandering, it is difficult to identify this city with a single symbol. It may be the sculpture of David by Michelangelo, or perhaps the romantic Ponte Vecchio, or Giotto bell tower. Furthermore, Florence is also synonymous with celebrities such as Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo or Dante Alighieri, to name a few.
Also, of course, is the famous "Duomo" which is perhaps the most recognizable monuments in Florence. The construction of the cathedral Florence Gothic Santa Maria del Fiore began in 1296 and was completed by Brunelleschi in 1436 with the famous Duomo, which was painted inside with frescoes by Vasari and Zuccari. The square bell tower designed by Giotto in 1334 is on the right side of the Florence Cathedral and is covered with white marble, green and red. The Baptistery of San Giovanni, one of the oldest monuments in Florence (1128), is located opposite the Cathedral in Florence and is built in Romanesque style.
Today though most of Florence's greatness lies in its charming history of Florence, the city still thrives. It has wonderful shops, gardens and parks airy, fabulous cuisine, an artistic environment stimulating and breathtaking views of the surrounding area.

You can eat at the finest restaurants or inns simple home cooking. Or buy the ingredients for an outdoor picnic picturesque in the Mercato Centrale or di Mercato Sant'Ambrogio. Grab a bottle of Chianti, and take a trip to the Boboli Gardens or the walls of Fort Belvedere with its impressive views.

I have a question that only came to me. Why ninja turtles the name of the artists of the Renaissance?
I used to be a big fan of his cartoons and movies as a kid back in the early 90s. I knew they were named after the great Renaissance artists, but Why? Why the creators of Michelangelo, Leonardo, Raphael and Donatello? Why not Giotto, Brunelleschi, or Caravaggio? I do not see the connection between the personalities of the four main characters except for Rafael. The artist is considered a master of his craft, and master of philosophical ideas (Hence the painting "School of Athens"). Raphael ninja turtle is also considered smart, witty and sometimes sarcastic and cynical. Can Someone can shed light on this?
You are trying to go too deep into this .... the rat was a philosopher and that gave them those names. The creators also I had to choose names people would recognize (expecially children)
