Artist's Statement Help?
Hi all, This is what I have so far for my artist statement. I feel that definitely needs some more, but I'm at a loss. Help me do better? All help is greatly appreciated ... thanks! As an artist who uses photography as my medium of communication my ultimate goal is to show the viewer something they have seen hundreds of times, but never looked. This phase I rarely photo session and instead of having my camera with me when you perform daily activities, finding art in home improvement stores, gardens and large cities. The vibrant colors are often found in nature and small architectural details that intrigues me. I am an artist who was largely self-taught, reading books and following the work of the photographers who I admire as Scott Kelby, Joe McNally, Moose Peterson and Ansel Adams.
Kimberly, I personally punch to what you have written. Sounds a tad law school essay-ish now (for me ...). Use more of a voice "active" (you can find this term in Google), and less of a "passive". In other words, back to what you mean. Say it with a strong voice that projects confidence. His interests and sound worth approach the flag waving around! See what you think of this child vers edited: As a photographer, try to focus on the places that we see every day - and therefore tend to ignore. But I interpret and communicate in new and unique ways. To this end, I take my camera with me wherever I go, and rarely are based on the study base outbreaks. Photo opportunities I see art everywhere - in stores for home improvements, in gardens and in almost all parts of large cities. The vibrant colors of nature and small architectural details and textures especially intrigued me. I am a photographer taught which itself was inspired by the works of photographers like Scott Kelby, Joe McNally, Moose Peterson and Ansel Adams. I think it's great that you mention some artists whose work I admire and whose approaches influence the style you are trying to adopt. Good luck!
