Fans of country music? Pref U.S.?

When my parents and I were vacationing in Florida, about 4 and 1 / 2 years ago, had 2 songs being played on the radio all the time, and I'm trying to figure out what they're called. 1) Was about a father stayed home with the children while their Women went to work and there was something about crayons on the wall and mashed potatoes somewhere lol! I only vaguely remember that I'm sorry if this is a little of course! 2) I think it was a Christmas song that we were there around Thanksgiving / early December, he was a boy I was going to buy her mother a pair of red shoes because she was ill and would be his last Christmas so I wanted her to look good. If someone could help me with the names of songs or the artists who sing them be grateful, my mother and I have been racking their brains for the last few hours, but we have the opportunity to remember! Thanks in advance
