Explore the coast of British Columbia Sun

Along the coast of British Columbia is a coastal road called Highway 101. It is the worldâ € ™ s longest road that runs from Castro in Chile in Lund in British Columbia, a total of 15,020 km. The section between Gibsons, the Vancouver north to Lund, some 150 km to the northwest is known as the Sunshine Coast tourist and locals alike offer stunning scenery and a really beautiful album (with a two ferry trips added).

If you are planning to travel in the Sol Costa probably will start her trip from the Vancouver area, so have to take a ferry from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver through Langdale. The trip will last approximately 40 minutes and costs about $ 10 per adult, depending on the time of year. Make sure your camera is handy as you sail between the islands as a Howe Sound to Bowen Island.

Once you get to Langdale driving south on Highway 101 to Gibson is known as the â € € Coast.â œGateway sun is also known as the location of the television series The Beachcombers. Although the film is no longer carried out some of the places seen in the series are still there to see how Molly Reach € ™ s restaurant and spring. Although not a huge tourist destination is perhaps worth spending a little time to explore the Fronta port and enjoy the view.

The city is home to around 4,000 people and has recently undergone a revitalization that included the center of the city and port, as well as the creation of the Winegarden Waterfront Park, which opened its doors in 2001. This area includes ponds, playgrounds, trails, boardwalks, wetlands, waterways and is wheelchair accessible, with beautiful views over the coast.

Once back at 101, its next stop will be Roberts Creek, a picturesque city that has become a haven for artists and artisans. It is known as the â € œGumboot Capital of the worldâ € a symbol adopted by the Company and acoustic gumboot gumboot Garden Café.

While here, besides visiting the city itself will have to take a look at Roberts Creek Provincial Park located one mile north of the city. The park covers an area of 40 acres with cedar forests. The park has several trails and campsites and wheelchair accessible. The beach area offers excellent picnic facilities where you can see the ocean and if you're lucky to see seals and whales pass by.

The next place you get to Sechelt is not itself a particularly stunning location, however, just north of the city is the Provincial Park Porpoise Bay which is definitely worth a visit. The park has easy to walk the trails and access to Angus Creek known for its salmon population. The park covers an area of 4 hectares and includes campgrounds, playgrounds, picnic areas and facilities as bathrooms and showers.

Once you have taken in the beauty of porpoise can go north to Half Moon Bay. This bay is protected from the sea Isla Thormanby open making it an ideal place to watch the world go. Here is a beautiful coastline, ports and coastal forest. This area is known for its handicrafts and is home to several galleries and many home schooling that places open to the public.

The next in your journey will be the same romantically called Secret Cove has become a popular destination for summer tourists. The city offers some of the best fishing available along the coast and this in itself only attracts many visitors and locals alike.

Smugglerâ € ™ s Cove Marina Park is located here and is another favorite. There are several routes trails that are easy to navigate as well as campsites and other facilities.

Back on the road and away from its next stop will be the area known as Pender Harbour, if you can find! This area consists of many islands and three communities: Madeira Park, Garden Bay and Irvine landing. Even the locals have problems for guidance in this area as it is a complex maze of inlets, coves, lakes, islands and reefs. There are freshwater lakes and saltwater bays and where one begins and ends the other is open to guess a lot of work.

The port is home to many boats and yachts that are moored here and the deep clear waters are world renowned for its excellent opportunities for diving and underwater photography.

This is a great place for kayaking and other water sports as much water is protected making it ideal for sailing smoothly.

If you visit in May, be sure to plan your visit round Victoria Day in May when the area celebrates with games, activities, crafts, music and an outdoor barbecue. Fun for all is guaranteed.

Okay, so if you did manage Pender Harbour to find you can now Highway 101, which now travels inside and goes to Earl € ™ s Cove. Here you will have your sea legs again as another ferry trip is in order. You have to get on the ferry that crosses the Saltery Bay Jervis Inlet and takes about 50 minutes and back costs about $ 10 per adult. .

You do not need or want to stop at Saltery Bay as it really is just a ferry terminal. Instead you can go back to the street and continue west to Powell River. This is an area composed of several communities including blueberries, Wildwood, Lang Bay and the largest, Westview.

Westview is the main destination for travelers as it offers the most services with hotels, restaurants and shops. If you visit in August you may experience the Blackberry Festival that has nothing to do with personal electronic devices, but more to do with the beautiful berries that pick from the many bushes located here. The festival coincides with the peak of the season blackberry and is part of a week with music, dance, crafts and a street party.

From Powell River you can also travel by ferry to Texada Island or the other side of Vancouver Island to the town of Comox.

The area north of Powell River carries Lund, which is signified by the last destination on Highway 101 and the gateway to the Desolation Sound. The most famous monument here is the Lund Hotel, which overlooks the ocean. Lund is used by tourists as a staging point for trips to the north coast of British Columbia, Savary Island and Desolation Sound.

Desolation Sound Marine Park is known around the world sa area of the main sail. It offers incredibly beautiful landscape with bays, inlets and channels that attract boaters and paddlers from all over the world.

There are plenty of camping opportunities along the coast, as well as activities such as kayaking, canoeing and trekking. If you donâ € ™ t have your own equipment, there are plenty of places where you can rent everything for a few hours or days.

The Costa del Sol not only offers visitors a great place to visit, but also offers an excellent way of life for those who choose to live here.

Many communities, especially those in the south are close enough to go to Vancouver if you have a job in the city. You can get the best of both worlds, living in relative isolation, but still have all the amenities you need close to or be a short hop to the city.

There are many types of property in the area of single family homes to condominiums. Some offer cheaper alternatives to those observed in Vancouver, however for that special waterfront home you really can expect to pay more than a million dollars for millions of dollars of view.

Although the area is ideal for families with schools and local amenities, many also choose to retire here. The relaxed lifestyle, along with great health care, recreational and social facilities of the community gives seniors exactly what they want, without being too far from city life. The Costa del Sol certainly has something to Every

What suggestions does anyone have to get to Salt Spring Island, from CA with ease?

I go into the Ganges to make ends meet and do not want rent a car. Is it easier to go to Seattle or Vancouver? Suggestions of places to stay? Thank you very much for artists, Canadians and fellow travelers.

The only way to get to Salt Spring Island without a car is through Amtrak. Take the train to Vancouver, take a bus or a taxi to the Tsawwassen ferry terminal. From there you can walk on a BC ferry to Long Harbour on Salt Spring Island. There is regular bus service to the Port of Long Ganges. Enjoy.
