Hip Hop Music Sales Slump digital age what does this mean for industry?

Hip hop was huge in the United States a few years ago. In a time in 2000, sales hit a record even more than 1.8 billion dollars. That's when Hip Hop R & B has taken over all other genres of music in terms of record sales. To see why hip hop sales are falling at present, one has to step back and understand how Hip Hop All started out.

Before Hip Hop was accepted into the mainstream, many Hip Hop artists almost asleep in the ground to practice their art form. Nobody knew Hip Hop was to become the Titan would become. When Hip Hop started, began in the streets. It was a movement of people who were disadvantaged, or were convicted ostracized by the community - they were looking for a way to express themselves and their plight. And speak they did.

Hip Hop is spontaneous and witty. For example, when it is a battle between two artists, the lyrics are not pre-written. Each competitor will have the opportunity to rap for a period of time. The public is judge. The rap culture is that the public is not biased judging by what a truly democratic art form. That comes with the most original and creative lyrics win the battle. Of course, there is an element of taste and disgust. So the letters have to connect with the audience too. The final results of the battle is based on cheers from the audience. The one receiving the strongest acclamation, wins the battle.

As you can see, Hip Hop comes from the need of artists with talent to be heard. And the artists became very good years of practice. As practice, the world remains largely unaware of what is happening. Not was so that artists are more enterprising than the Hip Hop began to take off.

Unlike other types of music, Hip Hop community is accepted far-reaching content and profanity in the lyrics. The market believes that it is refreshing to hear bad words in the records. And soon, Hip Hop music as a bullet came out with so much variety in the tone that there were people. From the angry rebel rap, his lyrics like a party time.

The wet market in particular, mainly because they believed that artists were doing their thing - to express repressed feelings, lack of opportunity or showing you how to enjoy life. So record sales continued to grow. Recording artists such as Eminem, 50 Cent, Lil Wayne, Jay Z, TI Gucci Mane and all did very well in the industry.

Unfortunately, the success of the industry Hip Hop has reached a turning point. In a few years, sales of Hip Hop music begins to decline and continued to decline year after year. Some labels, once worth millions of dollars, are now near bankruptcy.

It is clear that the market has taken the time to learn about Hip Hop and culture have fully embraced. After earning billions of dollars in the industry, and being widely accepted in the mainstream, what is the origin of the decay sales?

Many argue, its all because of the Internet. The new era of Internet has brought many new opportunities along with many new threats to the old industries. It is now easier than ever to commit piracy and unfortunately the music industry has been resistant to change. Too bogged down in the history of thought old old distribution channels to fully embrace what the Internet might actually mean for them.

Hip Hop artists are to publicize worldwide. Since there is no element of distribution channels or delay of the artist in the market. Why? Because the Internet makes it instant. As such old walls have been detailed where people had to wait for months without rest or seek to acquire all of the works of artists of the past.

As artists must continue to evolve to continue to prosper. Maybe even back to basics. Not more focused on large marketing budgets and driving record label initiatives. Perhaps the Internet has done is to take Hip Hop to the corporate boardrooms and back to the street where all that matters is good rap music lyrics from the heart.
