making dresses / start a fashion line?

I am a boy of 15 who is a fashion designer. I have a goal to sell dresses and skirts I design and make a great local art exhibition. I live outside Washington DC. I wonder what I should do first to achieve this ... I already have over 70 designs so I think I'm good in that area. i need to learn to sew though ... best way to do that? the art exhibition is the first week of October, so basically have one year. Any general tips? thnx.

There are classes you can take. I have some in my school, and I'm sure there are some at a local college or whatever. I only work in your portfolio until you learn to sew. You will need some money to invest in fabrics and materials, too.
