Focusing on the principles of peace Woodstock and love letters while politically conscious rhymes, the group produced "Everyday People", a hit in the Top Ten Charts. Arrested Development won From a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album and Best New Artist, and the prize of the Band of the Year by Rolling Stone.

Tube Ice, known for its focus on policy and racial issues related to treatment of African Americans in the U.S., from the time he was in NWA with Dr. Dre, uses the power of text to describe a typical day in the black community of 90 on the West Coast. Rhyme in a good way, seemingly without effort, Ice T describes a good day for a black man in the absence of incidents poor, including murder, and deceit. "Plus I know that no one was killed in South Central Los Angeles, today was a good day and certainly one of the songs which had a big impact on the subsequent evolution of hip hop.
